With no disrespect, I’ll
go out on a limb and predict the Barrons defeat the Panthers by 20+
points. That isn’t a “feel good” sentiment,
it based on past performances against common opponents. Amboy has posted an 0-3
record against South Plainfield (33-14), St Joseph (43-15), and Kennedy (42-7).
They were outscored 118PA - 36PF (-82).
Woodbridge,
recorded a 1-2, with 70PF - 63PA (+7). South Plainfield was in the Barrons’s pocket
and a late 4th quarter implosion gave it away. St Joseph was a sound lose (28-6) to a premier
team, and Kennedy suffered an embarrassing (52-20) defeat. The Panthers can’t
handle what the Barrons are going to put onto the field offensively or
defensively.
Woodbridge
is sitting eighth in the NJ2-G4. To receive a seeding, there is still work to
do with two to go. There are a minimum of 28 PP available in those games, with
14 coming from Perth Amboy, and 14 coming from JP Stevens. The door is still
ajar. Those are the facts.
So
here is the math. There are 50 PP in the basket. Woodbridge must defeat both
Perth Amboy and JP Stevens to add a minumum of 28 PP. If Amboy can get past
North Brunswick, add another 3 PP to the total. The winner of the Kennedy at
Colonia game will produce 3 more PP, and if Colonia defeats JP Stevens, add
another 3 PP. St Joseph is going to
defeat Kennedy so no points there.
Summing up. 50 + 28 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 87 maximum PP. Will that be enough to earn a seed in the
Playoffs? Maybe. It's time to "Strap Up and Deliver".
