“My Thoughts” - Memo to Woodbridge Football Fans!

On Friday night, October 12^th, the Woodbridge Barrons (2-3) will travel into Edison to face the JP Stevens Hawks (2-2) in a 7pm regular season game.

This game is critically important to both teams. JP Stevens has 17 Power Points (PP) and is sitting in the ninth spot in the NJ2 – G4 standings, with the eighth place Barrons posting 19 PP’s. The huge difference is that the Barrons have taken five games to gain their PP’s, while the Hawks garnered theirs in four.

The NJSIAA format states the top eight teams in the NJ2 – G4 will receive a berth in the post season playoffs. And teams with a sub .500 record, are excluded from the post season.

To improve their playoff chances, Woodbridge needs to defeat JP Stevens and continue the “Run the Table” mentality. The Hawks are stage two of a four stage effort needed to keep the playoffs in sight.

Friday night is time to tee it up again. Be there to help root on the Barrons. The players haven't folded, and neither should you. Let them know you are there to support them. Fill the air, loud and clear with "RUN THE TABLE"! Let them hear you on the sidelines. You the fans, are the 12th man, and you do make a difference!
