Keith Zalasar: Year to Date Statistics and Career Statistics

On Saturday, 11-29-2003 at 11am, the Woodbridge HS Football Team wraps up their 2003 season with an away game with cross town rival Colonia. There is no doubt in my mind that the Barrons are going to completely dismantle the Patriots by a lopsided margin, if you play Coach Russo’s brand of football!

Along the way, I am looking forward to watching three year varsity starter Keith Zalasar pound the ball for huge yardage and culminate his career with an impressive statistical history. Here is my personal request of Zalasar for his last WHS game:

172 Yards Rushing.

72 Yards Receiving.

17 Yards Returning Kick Offs.

39 Yards Returning Punts.

These numbers may sound like an odd assortment, but they represent a goal I believe Keith is capable of attaining. 172 yards rushing will give him 1500 for the season. 72 yards receiving will give him 300 for the season. 17 yards of kick off returns will give him 200 for the year. And, 39 yards returning punts will put him at 50. That makes a nice even number of 2050 all purpose yards for the 2003 season.

It doesn’t end there. If Keith can accomplish this goal, he will have surpassed 4000 all purpose yards for his WHS Football career! Going into the Colonia contest, his career statistics are as follows:

2061 Rushing Yards

941 Receiving Yards

688 Kick Off Return Yards

34 Punt Return Yards

Zalasar has been a workhorse for the Woodbridge Barrons, and his success is the success of the entire Team. You are a Team that has provided wonderful thrills for your families, friends and coaches. On behalf of Mr. Tim Casey, Mr. Dean Janowski, Mr. George Lucas, Mr. Steve Sosnovich, Mr. Harry Smith and myself, we applaud your skills, intelligence and determination to “Refuse to Lose”! Now, go lump up Colonia!
