"MY THOUGHTS – MY PREDICTIONS”

This is week 8 of 9.  The Woodbridge Barrons (4-3) will wrap-up their regular season on Friday night, October 26, 2007 at 7pm, home against the South Brunswick Vikings (4-3).  Both teams need a victory to guarantee a playoff berth in the NJSIAA Playoffs.  South Brunswick is competing in CJ – G4, and Woodbridge in NJ2 – G4.  Elimination from the playoffs is a possibility for the loser. 

 

If the Woodbridge Barrons defeat the South Brunswick Vikings, this is the way I believe the NJ2 – G4 final standings will finish.

 

  1. Piscataway Chiefs                8 – 0               85+ PP          
  2. Hunderdon Central                8 – 0               81+ PP
  3. Westfield                                6 – 2               58+ PP          
  4. Franklin                                  6 – 2               57+ PP
  5. Woodbridge                          5 – 3               55   PP
  6. Bayonne                                 6 – 2               50+ PP          
  7. Phillipsburg                            5 – 3               46+ PP
  8. Elizabeth                                5 – 3               44+ PP
  9. Edison (OUT)                        4 – 4               42+ PP

 

I expect Piscataway, Hunderdon Central, and Phillipsburg to defeat their opponents in their final games.  Bayonne will lose against St. Peter’s Prep.  Westfield, Franklin, and Elizabeth to win their two remaining games. 

 

Bottom Line:

  1. If Woodbridge defeats South Brunswick, a Playoff berth is guaranteed!
  2. If Woodbridge defeats South Brunswick, Bayonne loses, and Westfield or Franklin lose in any of their remaining two games, home field for round one of the Playoffs is guaranteed for the Barrons!
  3. If Woodbridge is defeated by South Brunswick, the Edison Eagles must lose one of their remaining two games for the Barrons to be guaranteed a Playoff berth.

 

To become a champion, you must defeat the best opponents!  I want to watch the Woodbridge Barrons march, rather than back into the Playoffs.  Take care of your own  business.  Defeat South Brunswick and don’t leave it up to someone else to help your cause!  No one person will win this game!  It will take each and every player knowing and completing his individual assignments.  TEAM – Together, Everyone Achieves More!
