No. 7 Woodbridge (1-1) at No. 5 South Plainfield (2-0):
The Tigers’ Zach DelVecchio leads all rushers with 240 yards and two scores. Junior quarterback Charles Lovett has given South Plainfield another dimension in that he can run it too with 120 yards last week against J.P. Stevens. Lovett has also scored four rushing touchdowns. Dillon Harris and Ryan Marston have been stalwarts for the defense recording 38 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, two sacks and one interception.

Woodbridge lost a tough 7-6 home game to Shore Conference power Manasquan. Keyshaun Henry scored the lone touchdown for Woodbridge on a 20-yard from the Wildcat formation but the PAT failed. Da’Avian Ellington has shared the running load with Henry. Quarterback Donovan Tabon will look to get the ball to Quaasim Glover, a two-time All-Area selection at wide receiver. Alex LaGrippo, Marquan Payne and Dylan Leone lead the pressure-happy Barrons. This game will be a close one just like last year. PICK: South Plainfield
