Carteret's offense has not had any trouble scoring points in its first four games, averaging over 40 per game.

That average might take a hit in a 29-14 victory over Woodbridge, but there no doubting the Ramblers' big-play abilities.

Carteret struck fast — on the first play from scrimmage — when Angelo Golino hit Jalen Harris near midfield and Harris took it to the house for a 65-yard touchdown. Later in the first quarter, Quartius Byrd broke free on a toss to the right side, then cut back across the middle and found an open lane to the end zone for a 72-yard touchdown. Byrd finished the night with 11 carries for 239 yards and two scores.

Byrd capped his huge night with another huge TD run, a 60-yarder off-right-tackle, in the fourth quarter, to put the game out of reach for Woodbridge

Woodbridge kept the game close, with Da'Avian Ellington scoring on a 20-yard run to start the second quarter, closing to within 14-6, but Carteret would answer with six minutes left when Golino connected with Dwayne Sharpe for an 18-yard score to pull ahead, 21-6. Golino finished 6-of-10 passing for 90 yards.

Woodbridge pulled to within 29-14 in the fourth quarter when Donovan Tabon hit a wide-open Keshaun Henry for a 25-yard touchdown.

Woodbridge leads the all-time series 28-27-4, but Carteret has won five of the last six meetings
