Woodbridge and Colonia have played football each and every year since
1967. Throughout the past 38 seasons, Colonia now holds the edge with an overall winning record
of 19 – 15 – 4.
But for the past four years,
the Barrons have succeeded in defeating the
Patriots. As a matter of fact, Head
Coach, Brian Russo has NEVER lost a game he has played in nor
one in which his has coached in against Colonia. He doesn’t expect that to change this year!
This year, the Woodbridge
Policemen’s Benevolent Association and the Supervisory Officer Association have
developed a trophy designed to be held by the winning team whenever the Colonia Patriots and the Woodbridge Barrons
compete in a varsity football game. The
award displays the winning team and the score produced. It has been dubbed the “Bragging Rights
Trophy”!
On Thursday (Thanksgiving
Day),
With all that has happened, the good and the bad, the entire season now rest with only
one viable goal remaining. DEFEAT
COLONIA! I expect and demand a
dominating performance! I want the
trophy here, in
Coach Russo’s seasons as an
Assistant and Head Coach
