The Barrons
Sideline
Playoff Qualification on the Line!
By: Charles McDevitt -
The 2006 NJSIAA Football
Playoffs are more than 2 months away, but for the Woodbridge Barrons, the next four regular season games have become a survival
test to qualify for those playoffs.
The Barrons
have a 1-3 season record, with only 9 Power Points to date. Realistically, they have to produce 50+/- to
gain a berth into this year’s post season.
That sounds like a daunting task, but
Here is a breakdown of the remaining
schedule with the past three season scores and records.
October 6th
at
October 13th,
JP Stevens. The record stands at 2-1 in favor of the Barrons under Coach Russo.
The lone loss was in 2005, a 35-33 shoot out! The Hawks will produce 11-13 PP. There will be no shoot out this year! The Barrons Defense is light years better than 2005 and will
produce the 3rd W while increasing their PP total.
October 20th,
October 27th
at
Coach Russo will have his staff
and team prepared. The work will all be done. Each game day, it will be one play at a time, and one win at a time.
Bottom Line: 4 Games + 4 Wins = A Shot at the
Playoffs!
